Los Angeles/Toronto – August 9, 2022 – Blink49 Studios is bolstering its Business & Legal Affairs leadership, welcoming Nicole Ungerman Levinsohn as Senior Vice-President, Business & Legal Affairs, and Daphne Park as Vice-President, Production Finance & Business Affairs.
Based in Los Angeles and reporting to John Morayniss, Blink 49 Studios’ CEO, Levinsohn will be responsible for the structuring, negotiation, documentation and management of Blink49 Studios’ agreements, including agreements to engage talent, acquire underlying rights, and license content. In addition, she will implement and administer standard operating procedures for the company’s development, production and acquisitions, and manage all business-related partnerships. Levinsohn’s wide variety of experience includes SVP of Business and Legal Affairs at UPN, where she similarly managed the Business and Legal Affairs department for 6 years (including negotiating the first network deal for the WWE, as well as for America’s Next Top Model and for Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Prior to this, she spent 6 years at NBC (as both Director and Vice President of Business Affairs), where she was responsible for shows such as Seinfeld, Mad About You and Frasier. Prior to joining NBC, Levinsohn was a Sports and Entertainment attorney at Goodman and Goodman in Toronto, Canada, in addition to serving as the US/Canadian liaison for Western International Communication’s media-related co-venture and tax shelter opportunities. Most recently, she completed instrumental roles as a Business and Legal Affairs executive at both eOne (2020) and Hulu (2022).
Based in Toronto and reporting jointly to Jeff Lynas, Blink49 Studios’ COO, and Levinsohn, Park joins as Vice-President, Production Finance & Business Affairs. Park has an extensive career in the industry holding senior management positions in production finance and business affairs at leading Canadian film and televisions companies. She oversaw the business affairs of projects from development to production through to distribution, and was responsible for production cashflows, interim financing, audits and tax credits. Park played a key role in the structuring and negotiation of production financing with co-production partners, equity investors, and public and private financiers. Prior to joining Blink49, Park was the Vice-President of Business Affairs at Sphere Media Toronto (formerly Sienna Films) where she handled a number of feature films and television series. Most recently, she served as a Co-Executive Producer on the drama series, The Porter (CBC/BET+) and Co-Producer on two seasons of Sort Of (CBC/HBO Max), a critically acclaimed series which garnered numerous awards including the 2022 Peabody Award.
