 Alix Steerman has been promoted to Manager, Scripted Television

Los Angeles/Toronto – August 4, 2022 – Blink49 Studios is expanding its Scripted Television business as Lindsay Tolbert joins the company as Vice President, Scripted Television, and with the promotion of Alix Steerman to Manager, Scripted Television. The announcement was made by Carolyn Newman, Executive Vice President, Global Scripted Programming.

Based in Los Angeles and reporting to Newman, Tolbert has been named Vice President, Scripted Television. Most recently, Tolbert served as Vice President of Development at David Ayer’s Cedar Park Entertainment where she oversaw both film and television projects and covered first-year series Deputy. Prior to that, Tolbert was Director of Development, Television at eOne, joining in 2018 from The Mark Gordon Company. At The Mark Gordon Company, she served as an executive supporting series such as Youth & ConsequencesDesignated SurvivorConviction and the Criminal Minds spinoff, Beyond Borders. Tolbert began her career working in production and extras casting in Atlanta.  

Based in Los Angeles and reporting to Newman, Steerman has been promoted to Manager, Scripted Television. Prior to joining Blink49 Studios, Steerman served as the Television Coordinator at Circle of Confusion, a management and production company based in LA. She currently works with screenwriting programs such as Roadmap Writers, where she helps provide industry insight and script feedback to lift up emerging voices. Steerman is a Philadelphia native and a 2019 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. 

Led by Newman and Virginia Rankin, Executive Producer, Blink49 Studios’ scripted division has hit the ground running since its inception last November. Upcoming projects include the Hallmark Channel’s new original primetime rodeo-themed family drama Ride; the new CTV greenlit series Sight Unseen from Sisters Troubetzkoy Productions; adapting the upcoming novel Hold My Girl from emerging Canadian author Charlene Carr as well as the TV adaptation of internationally bestselling author Marissa Stapley’s sophomore novel Things To Do When It’s Raining.  Blink49 Studios has also signed multiple content development deals with world-class talent including an overall deal with The Walking Dead: World Beyond co-executive producer Ben Sokolowski; first-look deal with award-winning writer, creator and director Sheri Elwood; and most recently striking a long-term pact with world renowned entertainer Lilly Singh and her company Unicorn Island Productions.
